A lot more lunch options were just announced around town – New Year’s diets be damned! First up, Galen Zamarra’s West Village grill shop Mas (La Grillade) is now serving the mid-day meal seven days a week. The lunch service is available from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and features meaty options as part of a $28, three-course fixed-price menu. A la carte options are also available (212-255-1795).
A little further downtown, Flo Fab reports that Danny Meyer’s newest venture North End Grill is opening this week with lunch service only. The restaurant features cuisine from former Tabla chef Floyd Cardoz, and will open for dinner later in January, presumably after the lunch crowds help them work the kinks out (102 North End Ave.; 212-228-3585).
Up in Murray Hill, you can get lasagna-fied for lunch starting today with the launch of Tommy Lasagna’s mid-day service. This lunch service contains plenty of hearty options like a truffle lasagna. Even though they will fill you up, the options here won’t break the bank – most are available for under $13 a plate (212-228-3494).
